Mrs. Mary Elsie Porter died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Chas. Hartgrave, 1333 West Eighth street, at 10 Tuesday night after an illness extending over the past twenty weeks. She was 58 years old at the time of her death.

The deceased was born in Michigan May 13, 1856, removing to Brooklyn, Ia., when a small child. She was married at Brooklyn, June 22, 1872 to M. H. Porter, who preceded her in death two years ago. Upon the death of her husband she came to Davenport and had made her home here since.

She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Thomas Doonan of Brooklyn, Ia., two daughters, Mrs. Chas. Hartgrave of Davenport, and Mrs. Sam Forgie of Brooklyn, and one son, John Porter, of Kellogg, Ia.

The body will be shipped to Brooklyn tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock, where the funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon.
