LENA FLEMING, 94

Lena Marie Hull Fleming, a resident of Fountain West Health Center in West Des Moines and formerly of Montezuma, died Saturday, June 27, 1998 in West Des Moines.

Services were June 26 at Harden Funeral Home in New Sharon with the Rev. Warren James officiating. Interment was at Friends Cemetery in New Sharon.

Lena was born March 2, 1904, in Granville to Ulysses and Clara Farmer Hull. She was educated in Granville.

On September 27, 1930, she married Karl Fleming in Oskaloosa. They lived briefly in Forest Home, then in 1936 moved to a farm west of Montezuma.

They retired in 1962 and moved to Montezuma and later, to Prairie Homes Retirement Community of New Sharon. Karl died in 1989.

In 1993, Lena became a resident of Fountain West Health Center in West Des Moines.

She was a homemaker.

Lena was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Devern Hull.

Survivors are a sister, Pauline (Mrs. Ronald) McAtee of West Des Moines and several nieces and nephews.
