MARGARET DAVIDSON NATHLICH

Margaret Nathlich, 97, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 5:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, Illinois. Margaret was a very active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Mount Vernon, Illinois. She was a volunteer for Ladies of Faith, Good Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary, Bargain Box, and Twice Nice. In her spare time, Margaret enjoyed playing golf and hit three holes-in-one in her lifetime. She also loved to bowl and play cards, especially Bridge. Margaret's greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

She was born Monday, November 24, 1919 in Brooklyn, Iowa to parents, William and Nina (Johnson) Davidson. She married Irvin E. Nathlich on November 5, 1944 in Brooklyn, Iowa. They were blessed with 66 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on November 29, 2010. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, William and Nina Davidson; husband, Irvin Nathlich; brother, Horace Davidson; sisters, Ruth Carmichael; twin sister, Miriam Ihle and her husband, Dan; and sister-in-law, Lillian Davidson.
