FOR MRS. DAVIDSONFuneral services were conducted at Grace United Methodist church Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Ernest Davidson who died Wednesday evening at Brookhaven Nursing Home.
Rev. E. Edward Philgreen conducted the services and burial was in the IOOF cemetery Brooklyn with the following casket bearers: Horace Davidson, William McMullin, Sheridan Cook, John McMullin, George McMullin, and Lacy Cook. Flower attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Maynard McLain, Mrs. Freda Read and Mrs. Owen Wenger.

ORMISTON DAVIDSONEthel Belle Ormiston Davidson, daughter of George Edwin and Margaret Arbelle Simeral Ormiston was born Dec. 20, 1887, in Scott township, Poweshiek county, and died Dec. 3, 1969.
She graduated from Brooklyn high school in May 1905, and taught rural school two years at Kent and White Cloud schools in Madison township.
On April 8, 1908, she was united in marriage to Ernest Laverne Davidson. To this union were born a son and a daughter, Lloyd and Thelma. Her early married life was spent in Poweshiek county. Later she lived in Marengo and Iowa City returning to Brooklyn in (unreadable 196?).
Mrs. Davidson was a member of Grace United Methodist church and a 50-year member of Deborah Rebecca Lodge, No. 202 of Brooklyn.
Preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers: Ray in infancy, and Roscoe E. Ormiston.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest; a son , Lloyd of Oswego, Illinois; a daughter, Mrs. Harold McMullin of Brooklyn; two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Gwinn of Brooklyn and Mrs. Della Jones of Des Moines; one brother, Leslie Ormiston of Brooklyn; ten grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Those from out of town who attended the funeral of Mrs. Davidson were: Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Davidson and Debbie, Dr. and Mrs. Lacy Cook, Jr., Oswego, Ill.; Mrs. Grace Harthorn, John McMullin, Aurora, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Don O. Jones, Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. Sheridan Cook, Algona, Mr. and Mrs. Bill McMullin, Lisa and Alan, Decatur, Ill.; George McMullin, Niles, Ill.
