Keith A. Davidson, 55, of Brooklyn died Friday, July 23, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Brooklyn, with the Rev. Richard Okumu officiating. Organist was Marilyn Kriegel, and casket bearers were Jeff Phelps, Stephen Fink, Tom Behounek, Bryan Ross, Jim DePriest, Charles Calderwood, and Michael, David, Duane and Dale Henle. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Brooklyn, with the Nevenhoven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The son of Horace Albert and Lillian Johanna Rehberg Davidson, he was born Aug. 24, 1943, in Grinnell. He received his education in the Brooklyn schools, graduating from high school in 1961. He attended Iowa State University in Ames.
He was married to Diane Lee Henle Feb. 18, 1967, in Brooklyn. He joined his father in operating the family farm near Brooklyn and later formed a partnership with his brother, Jim, when their father retired.
He served with the U.S. Army Reserves for 20 years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Francis Gallagher American Legion Post No. 294 and the Farm Bureau, serving as a director and treasurer.
He was a former 4-H and Scout leader.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Chris of Pella and Brian of Washington; one daughter, Lisa Davidson of Brooklyn; his mother; two brothers, James of Brooklyn and Mark of Ames; and six sisters, June Stalzer of Austin, Texas, Patricia Phelps of Grinnell, Betty Fink of Canton, Ill., Carol Behounek of Montezuma, Mary Ross of Glidden and Marlene DePriest of Mt. Pleasant.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A memorial fund has been established.
