MIRIAM IHLE

Miriam (Davidson) Ihle, died May 16, 2012 at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport, MA. She was born on November 24, 1919 to the late William and Nina (Johnson) Davidson in Brooklyn, Iowa, where she was raised and educated, graduating from Brooklyn High School.

She married the late Dan Ihle on June 6, 1942 and together they raised their family in Lynn, MA. Dan and Miriam later retired to Alfred, Maine before Miriam moved to Boxford, MA in 1998. A Snowbird for 20 plus years Miriam and Dan would leave Maine for Florida and stay at the Traveler's Rest Resort in their Airstream Camper. She was a member of the Airstream Club for over 30 years, and enjoyed traveling the country in their "silver bullet." Miriam loved nothing more than spending time with family and friends. Miriam had an amazing green thumb and enjoyed gardening, sewing and especially creating latch hook rugs for friends and family.

Miriam was predeceased by her husband Dan Ihle and her daughter, Jane (Ihle) Kennedy. She is survived by her son, John Ihle and his wife Colleen of Boxford, son-in-law, Robert Kennedy of Georgetown; grandchildren, Kerri Quimby, Todd Kennedy, Johnathan, Jennifer, and Jeremiah Ihle, Jessica Smith; great grandchildren, Luke Quimby; her twin sister, Margaret Nathlich of Illinois, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Horace Davidson and Ruth Carmichael.

Arrangements: In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Scleroderma Foundation, www.scleroderma.org. Family and friends are invited to call from 1:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday, May 20, at the Merton E. Roberts, Jr. & Conte Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant St., Georgetown, MA 01833.
