SERVICES HELD

Funeral services for Mrs. Nina Davidson, 85, of Brooklyn were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, in the Grace United Methodist Church, Brooklyn. Mrs. Davidson died Sunday morning in the Brookhaven Nursing Home.

The Rev. J. Arthur Eveland, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, officiated at the services, and burial was in the Brooklyn I.O.O.F. Cemetery. The Nevenhoven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

The daughter of Gus and Charlotte Rose Johnson, she was born April 17, 1888, in Brooklyn. She was married to William A. Davidson in the home of her parents on Jan. 5, 1909. He preceded her in death in 1965.

Mrs. Davidson was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Rebekah Lodge, River Road Club, WSCS, Philathea Sunday School Class, and the Farm Bureau.

She is survived by one son, Horace Davidson of Brooklyn; three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Ruth) Carmichael of Brooklyn, Mrs. Dan (Miriam) Ihle of Lynn, Mass.; and Mrs. Irvin (Margaret) Nathlich of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; one brother, Freeman Johnson of Flint. Mich.; one sister, Miss Mabel Johnson of Brooklyn; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two sisters.
