Thursday, June 30, 1887

LAYNG - On Tuesday, June 28, 1887, at 5:10 p.m., Jane, wife of the late Miles Layng, aged 75 years. Funeral from her late residence #23 Jefferson St., Allegheny this afternoon at 2:30. Friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend.

NOTE #1: Jane is interred at Allegheny Cemetery in Section 312, Lot 712 with her husband; daughter Catherine; daughter Margaret; son-in-law William McElroy, and great grandson, William "Little Willie" Schauer.

NOTE #2: Jane Joynt Layng is the mother of Mabel (Layng) Orr-Affolter and grandmother of Jane Ella "Jennie" Orr-Norris, who are buried at Brooklyn, Iowa
