THOMAS R. JOHNSTON

Thomas R. Johnston died Wednesday evening at his home near Montezuma. He leaves his wife, two sons, Dale and Walter, one daughter, Verna Van Cleave and her son, Marvin. The funeral was held at his home Friday afternoon. He was laid to rest in Montezuma. He was an uncle of the Brannian family. Those who attended the funeral from Brooklyn were the nieces and nephews, Mrs. Howard Mitchell, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Brannian, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Brannian, Cecil, Ross and John Brannian, Jesse Johnston, Mr. and Mrs. Elza Hall, Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Johnston and sons. Other relatives were Mr and Mrs Jack Ramsey, Mildred and Ralph, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ramsey, Mrs. and Mrs. W. J. McLain, Mr. and Mrs. Maynard McLain. Mr. and Mrs. John Johnston and daughter, Wilma and husband of Manchester; Mrs. Elizabeth Johnston, Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Johnston, Fay, Margaret and Marion of Coggon, Ia; Mr. and Mrs. John Lipton, Miss Laura Lipton, Mrs. Margaret Sudlow and daughter, Margaret, of Rock Island, also attended the funeral. They returned home Saturday evening.
