CALVIN BUTTS
March 29, 1925-January 09, 2007

A Memorial Service for Calvin Howard Butts, age 81, of Gillette, will be held on Monday, January 15, 7:00 p.m. at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home. Pastor Wes Smith of the New Life Wesleyan Church will officiate.

Cal was born in Upton, Wyoming to Howard and Lillie (Norris) Butts on March 29, 1925. He was blessed with a very full and eventful life. He served in the United States Navy from 1942-1945 on the ship USS DE 103. Cal has done so many things in his life from plumbing to truck driving. He owned his own plumbing company for many years. Cal was also blessed to work with his life long friend Claude Kissack for many moons on the ranch. Calvin H. Butts was a great man, he touched so many lives wherever he went. To many people, Cal was like a sergeant, father, brother, and grandfather. He will be missed by one and all.

Cal is survived by his two sisters, Blanch Scott of Hawaii and Laura May of California. Cal was blessed to have three children, Roger and his wife Leatha Butts, Myra and her husband Jamie Hewey and Micheal Butts. He was also blessed to have 7 stepchildren, 32 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Cal was preceded in life by one brother, Walter Butts and three wives.
