OBITUARY

LEO STEPHEN JOHNSTON

Leo Stephen Johnston, 53, Star Route, Gering (NE) died suddenly Friday at Scottsbluff hospital. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by the Bopley-Dennis Funeral Home of Gering.

Mr. Johnston was born Feb. 10, 1899 at Birmingham, Ia. He moved with his family to eastern Wyoming in 1910. At Newcastle, Wyo., Nov. 28, 1925, he was married to Lila E. Norris. He moved to Gering in 1942 and operated the Johnston Service there until his death.

Surviving are his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Mary E. Walters of Mitchell, Mrs. Betty E. Bunting of Hastings, and Mrs. Barbara Rice of Gering; four sons, Robert of Gering, Leo Carol, Clifford, and Duane, all at home; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Althea Gilmer, who lives in Kansas, and Mrs. Mildred Bundy who lives in Washington; and two brothers, Fred A. and Orie D., who live in Kansas.
