JESSIE HANNAY, 91,
DIES HERE SUNDAY;
FUNERAL WEDNESDAY

Miss Jessie Brown Hannay, 91, a native of Scotland, died Sunday morning at a local nursing home after an illness of several years.

Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Smith funeral home with the Rev. David S. Leeper of Calvary Baptist church in charge. Interment will be in Hazelwood cemetery.

Daughter of John Findlay Hannay and Margaret Rankine, Miss Hannay was born in Kirkcudbrightshire in southern Scotland on Oct. 15, 1862. She came at the age of 15 with the family to a farm a mile and a half northeast of Grinnell and resided here ever since.

Survivors are a brother, John George Welsh Hannay, and a sister, Martha Findlay Hannay. Miss Hannay was a member of Calvary Baptist church.
