SMITH-SIMMONSDonna Mae Smith-Simmons, 81, of Noblesville, Ind., formerly of Grinnell, died Tuesday, March 23, 2010, following heart by-pass surgery.
Her body has been cremated and a memorial service will take place at a later date with burial in the Noblesville Cemetery.
She was born Nov. 18 1928, in Cleaves, Iowa, the daughter of Glen and Frances Smith. She was united in marriage with James Simmons in 1947 in Grinnell. She was a homemaker and a caretaker of her parents. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Grinnell.
She is survived by her children James Simmons of Memphis, Tenn., Melody Flahir of Waterbury, Conn., Michael Simmons of Middleton, Conn., and Chris Simmons of Noblesville; and ten grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband James Simmons.
