ROBERT SIMPSON
DIES SUNDAY

Robert James Simpson, 59, of Seabrook, Tex., and formerly of Grinnell, died Sunday afternoon, Mar. 17, at a hospital in Pasadena, Tex.

Mr. Simpson was born Nov. 14, 1914, the son of James T. and M. Grace Halterman Simpson, in Grinnell. He attended the Grinnell schools and served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

Following his discharge from the armed services in 1945, he moved to Los Angeles, Cal. In 1950, he was married to Estella Morris. The couple had one son, Timothy Simpson of Seabrook, Tex.

In 1966, the family moved to Seabrook, where Mr. Simpson was associated with the NASA Space Center in Houston.

Survivors include his wife and son; two step-children, James and Yoland Morris of Los Angeles, Cal.; his mother, Mrs. Grace Simpson of Grinnell; four sisters, Mrs. Ferris (Betty) Plander of Marshalltown, Mrs. Thomas (Helen) Arnold of Marshalltown, Mrs. Peter (Marilyn) Bonyata of Buffalo Grove, Ill., and Doris Simpson of Grinnell; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, James T. Simpson, on June 6, 1971.
