Mrs. Mary Cox Mason, 67, a former Grinnell resident, died Tuesday, May 1, in Hibbing, Minn., following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Mason was born March 20, 1906, in Ellsworth, Iowa. She spent most of her childhood in Grinnell, where she was graduated from Grinnell College in 1927. She had been a resident of University City, Mo. for the past 20 years. She recently retired from teaching.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Charles P. Vesel of 2906 Second Ave. W., Hibbing, and two grandchildren, Anne and Michael.

Memorial services for Mrs. Mason will be held May 5 at the Lupton Funeral Home in University City. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery, Grinnell, at a later date.

The family prefers that should friends desire, memorials be made to the United Church of Christ-Congregational, Grinnell.
