GRINNELL -- Funeral services for David Lee Robson, 29, of Grinnell, a former resident of Newton, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Wallace Funeral Home in Newton.

The Rev. Damon Reese, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church in Grinnell, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Newton Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.

Memorial contributions to a fund in Mr. Robson's name will be accepted. Memorials may be left at the funeral home.

He died Sunday morning of carbon monoxide poisoning during a fire at his apartment.

Survivors are a daughter, Stacy Marie Robson of Grinnell; his father, John Norman Robson of Newton; his mother, Mrs. Albert (Shirley) Lamb of Newton; a brother, John Norman Robson II of Park City, Utah; a sister, Mrs. Edward (Diane) Hengemuehler of Heber City, Utah; a half-brother, Michael David Robson of Newton; and his grandmothers, Mrs. Dora LaBelle Robson of Newton and Mrs. Pearl Wahner of Grinnell.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Allen, and his grandfathers.

Mr. Robson was a welder in the maintenance department of the Tama Meat Packing Corporation.

The son of John Norman and Shirley A. Wahner Robson, he was born Aug. 3, 1953 in Newton and was graduated from Newton Community High School.

He moved to Grinnell 10 years ago.
