BRITT LOUIS WAHNER

Britt Louis Wahner, son of Matthias and Emma Jane Wahner, was born Nov. 14, 1887 in Iowa county, Iowa. When he was a year old he moved with the family to Poweshiek county, Iowa, where he lived at the town of Brooklyn until March, 1920 at which time he moved to Parshall, N.D. He farmed south of Parshall in Kramerville township until November, 1949 when he and his wife moved into Parshall.

He was married Dec. 22, 1914 to Sarah Ephia Worl at Williston, N.D. and two sons were born to the couple, Louis and Edward. When a young man he became a member of the Madison Christian Church of Brooklyn.

Surviving are his widow, two sons; three granddaughters; his mother, Mrs. E.J. Wahner of Brooklyn; a sister, Mrs. D.C. Robeson of Brooklyn and a brother, Alfred of Reasnor.

Funeral services were held February 9 at 2:00 p.m. in the Congregational church at Parshall with the pastor, Rev. Amel Whitwer in charge. Hymns were sung by the Spring Valley quartet. Burial was in the Parshall cemetery.

Relatives from a distance attending the services were Alfred Wahner of Reasnor; Mrs. D.C. Robeson of Brooklyn; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Jacobs of Marengo; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ware, Kulm, N.D. and Mr. and Mrs. John Rambur of Minot, N.D.
