WILLIAM W. "BILL" WAHNER

JANESVILLE - William W. "Bill" Wahner, 64, of Janesville died Sunday, May 22, 2011 at his home.

He was born December 29, 1946 in rural Grinnell, son of Richard M. and Frances K. (Chamberlin) Wahner. He married Joann I. Carman Morris on December 26, 1977 in Aurora, Illinois.

Bill graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1965 and was employed with Waterloo Industries, then with Roskamp Engineering for over thirty years, retiring in August 2008.

Survivors include: his wife, Joann; a daughter, Suzanne (Bob) Garber of Cedar Falls; five sons, William Wahner of Grinnell, Thomas (Karla) Wahner of Washta; Jeffrey (Wendy) Morris of Lansing, Noel Morris of Waterloo, and Michael (Deb) Morris of Lansing; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, James A. Wahner of Cedar Falls; and a sister, Kathy Dykes of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers, Robert and Richard Wahner; one grandson.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls, and also for one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
