HERE TODAY FOR
FRED HAGENLOCK

Fred Hagenlock, 70, of Grinnell, died early Tuesday morning at a local hospital. He had been in ill health for the past month.

Funeral services were held this afternoon (Thursday) from the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Rich, pastor of the Assembly of God church, officiating. Vocal music was provided by Mrs. Donald Rich, accompanied by Mrs. James Wilson at the organ.

Flower bearers were Mrs. Ralph Allen and Mrs. Robert Teed. Serving as pallbearers were Clair Strand, Lester Lane, Neil Johnson, Gerald Sampson, Virgil L. Johnson and Jerry Carter.

Interment was in Hazelwood cemetery.

Born June 24, 1892, at Butte City, Montana, he was the son of Ernest and Bertha Lisker Hagenlock. The family moved to Grinnell when he was about two years old and he received his education in the rural schools near his home.

On August (3 or 8)?, 1914, at Montezuma, he was united in marriage with Laura Snow. To this union were born two daughters, Mrs. LeRoy (Helen) Johnson of Grinnell, and Dorothy, who died in 1936 at the age of 20.

Mr. Hagenlock had been employed for approximately 20 years as a fireman and maintenance man at Midwest Metal Stamping Co. in Kellogg. He was a member of the First Assembly of God church.

Survivors include his widow, Laura; his daughter, Helen; two grandchildren, Mrs. Darlene Shope of Chariton and Fred Johnson of Grinnell; and four great-grandchildren, Manda Rae Shope, Lana Lee Shope, Gigi Ann Johnson and Michelle Marie Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter.
