MR. JENKIN DIES IN INDIANA

Frederick Cleotis Jenkin, 74, of 502 E. Ninth St., Bloomington, Ind., a former Grinnell and Toledo resident, died Saturday, Feb. 13, at an Indianapolis hospital.

Private services were conducted, and the body was donated to medical science. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The son of Gilbert Odes and Cordelia Larkin Jenkin, he was born April 4, 1907, at Monticello, Ill. He graduated from Grinnell High School in 1924 and moved to Bloomington after his father's death in December of that year.

A graduate of Indiana University in 1928, he was a member of Kappa Delta Rho fraternity. He was also affiliated with the Methodist Church in Bloomington and was a 24-year member of Masonic Lodge No. 22.

He was married to Opal H. Helms on Feb. 19, 1929. He was employed for many years as a parts man for Curry Buick and was also employed as an inspector for the Indiana Highway Department. After retiring because of ill health, he was a bookkeeper for his son, William.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Joan Fields of Evansville, Ind.; a sister, Eula Anderson of Peoria, Ill.; three grandchildren; and three foster sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, William; one sister and one brother.

NOTE: Wife Opal and daughter Joan Fields buried in Point Pleasant Cemetery in Fulton Co. IL
