SATURDAY FUNERAL FOR
DENNIS FOSTER, 76

Funeral services for Dennis Foster were held Saturday, March 6, 10:30 a.m., at the Steffy Funeral Home with Rev. G.R. Dieken officiating. Bill Rempp sang "In The Garden" accompanied by Miss Alice Underwood.

Interment was in Union Miss Cemetery with Melvin Johnson, Harold Bushong, Harold Taylor, Fred Curry, Leslie Curry and Albert Carter serving as casket bearers.

Dennis, son of Elijah and Belle Foster, was born in old Browntown, Mahaska County, Iowa, Sept. 13, 1888, and died suddenly in Montezuma, Wednesday, March 3. He was 76 years old.

Mr. Foster attended rural school and worked on the farm as a youth. He was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds suffered in France during World War I while serving in the army.

During his active years he worked as a house painter.

A member of Blakely-Stevens American Legion Post, Mr. Foster has resided in Montezuma 20 years.

He is survived by several cousins.
