FRANK A. VICINANZA

Frank A. Vicinanza, 54, of 2020 West St., Grinnell, died Tuesday, May 9, at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Anthony G. Farrell officiating. Music will be provided by Pat Shaw, organist, and St. Mary's Church Choir. Pallbearers will be Tom Compo, Dennis Conway, Steve Kenkel, Ken Kramer, Frank Loutsch and Frank Wilder.

A wake service will be held at 6:45 p.m. Friday at the Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery.

The son of Michael and Chairina Pellati Vicinanza, he was born Aug. 21, 1940, in Brooklyn, N.Y. He worked as a taxi driver in Brooklyn and Manhattan and later was a draftsman for the Brooklyn Union Gas Co.

He was married to Rosemarie Seach July 24, 1978, in New York City. They moved to Grinnell in December 1993. Mr. Vicinanza was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Anthony of Monroe, N.Y.; one daughter, Cathy Rogers, also of Monroe; two stepchildren, Bill Kaufmann of Grinnell and Robin Knudson of Beckley, W.Va; six grandchildren; two brothers, Robert of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Michael of Long Island, N.Y.; and one sister, Eleanor Susca of Tampa, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
