LORMAN KETZBACK

Lorman Alfred Ketzback, 84, of Montezuma, died Sept. 11 in the Senior Home at Montezuma.

He was born Dec. 2, 1905, at Doland, S.D., the son of William and Lettie Rice Ketzback. On June 29, 1933, he was united in marriage with Margaret Thompson at Waterloo. They lived in Des Moines until 1972 when Lorman retired as a salesman for Fulwell Motor Products and they moved to Montezuma.

He was a member of the Montezuma United Methodist Church, member and Past Master of West Gate Adelphic Lodge No. 509 A.F. and A.M. of Des Moines, Past Patron of Adelphic Chapter O.E.S. of Des Moines, a member of the Des Moines Consistory, member of Lily Lodge No. 254 A.F. and A.M. of Malcom, a member of Lafayette Chapter No. 232 O.E.S. of Montezuma and the AARP.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Vera Magagna; a stepson, Eugene Thompson and a brother, Roy Ketzback.

Lorman is survived by his wife, Margaret of Montezuma; two grandsons of Atlanta, Ga.; and two brothers, Frank of Hinton and Clifford of Redfield, S.D.

Funeral services were Sept. 15 at Watts Funeral Home, Montezuma, with the Rev. Thomas Pickles officiating.

Casket bearers were Dean Walters, Melvin Mills, Charles Marlin, George Wolfe, Norman Holt, Ray Guisinger.

Honorary casket bearers were Douglas Ver Meer, Vere Osborne, George Axmear, Waldo Vannoy, Carroll Smith, Raymond Tarvin and Lester (Sonny) Schneekloth.

Interment was in Ivy Hill cemetery, Malcom.
