HOWARD A. INMAN

Howard A. Inman, 59, of Grinnell, died Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 14, at the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Harley Shull officiating. Casket bearers will be Danny Diehm, Dale Enns, Donny Patton, Carroll Reynolds Jr., Richard Roop and Anthony West. Honorary bearers will be Jacob Inman, Josh Inman, Gage Inman, Kenna Bice, Derek Bice, Shyann Fisher, Jacob Fisher and Ricki Schriner. Interment will be at Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell.

Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home beginning at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 13, and the family will be present at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday.

Howard was born on Aug. 8, 1956, in Grinnell to Melvin Howard and Bernice Carmer Inman. He was raised in Grinnell and attended Grinnell schools.

In 1975, he was united in marriage with Kimberly Cline in Lancaster, Mo. The couple lived in Grinnell and he worked as an engineer in the facilities management department at Grinnell Regional Medical Center.

Howard was a member of the ABATE Motorcycle Club and enjoyed attending the Good Guys Car Show. He was an avid collector of automobiles, gas pumps and toy die cast cars. His family was important to him and he enjoyed family reunions and watching his sons compete in wrestling.

Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Inman of Grinnell; three sons, Melvin Inman of Newton, Tony Inman of Grinnell and Jacob Inman of Grinnell; eight grandchildren; and one sister, Lola Sadler of Grinnell.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
