FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR
ROBERT ANDERSON WEDNESDAY

Funeral services for a well known Montezuma farmer, Robert G. Anderson, were conducted by the Rev. Martin Gruneich in the Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 26. Music at the services was provided by Mr. and Mrs. Denis Brand and Darrell Brand.

Casket bearers were Loren Roorda, Lotus Goodrich, Adrian McMahon, Phillip Sanders, Herchel Griffith and Charles DePauw.

Burial was at Jackson Township Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Blakely-Stevens American Legion Post ceremonial unit.

Mr. Anderson, 44, was fatally injured in a truck-tractor accident Monday evening.

The son of Walter and Sigma Anderson, he was born at Des Moines on March 16, 1925, and was educated in the Oskaloosa and Lacey schools. He served with the Sixth Marine Division in the South Pacific during World War II.

On June 12, 1948, he married the former Beverly Garrett and to this union four children were born. They have been residents of the Malcom and Montezuma communities most of their married life.

Mr. Anderson was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife; their three daughter, Mrs. David (Kathleen) Gorsuch, Susan and Debbie; one son, David; his mother, Mrs. Sigma Inman of Oskaloosa; a sister, Mrs. James (Marie) McCurdy of Fremont; three brothers, Carl of Cedar Rapids, Marvin and Wesley, both of Oskaloosa.

Mrs. Anderson requested that contributions in memory of her husband be made to the Presbyterian Church building fund in lieu of flowers.
