DIES; SERVICES
THIS WEDNESDAY

Mrs. Edna Alice Landes, wife of Arthur H. Landes, Route 2, Grinnell, died Sunday evening at a local hospital.

Mrs. Landes was the daughter of Nimrod I. and Missouri Phipps, and was born Sept. 5, 1882, in Rock Creek Township, Jasper County. She received her early education in rural schools near her home. She and her husband were married in Missouri, but lived in the Rock Creek community.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Lola. Her husband survives her.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Smith Funeral Home with Elder Fred Phipps of LeGrand officiating. Burial will be in Rock Creek cemetery.
