DOWN STAIRS ON
85TH BIRTHDAY

Mrs. Charles Wolford, 85, prominent farm lady living west of Deep River on the Diamond Trail, fell Monday morning, breaking her neck. Death was almost instantaneous. Drs. Cain of Deep River were called, but Mrs. Wolford died shortly afterwards.

A daughter, Elna was outdoors and heard a noise in the house, but did not think much of it. When she entered the home she found her mother lying at the foot of the stairs. Mrs. Wolford evidently had started down the steps from the upstairs and fell.

The accident occurred on her birthday, the 27th of September.

At this writing funeral plans have not been made pending word from relatives.--Montezuma Republican.
