MOLLIE ORMISTON

Mollie Bawn Donegan Omiston, the daughter of John M. and Mollie E. Young Donegan, was born January 12, 1893, at Bon Aqua, Tenn., and died Sunday, June 7, 1970, at her home in Brooklyn.

She grew up on a farm near Bon Aqua, attending school there through the tenth grade. In 1916 Mollie came to Brooklyn which has been her home through these years.

On August 27, 1919, she and Roscoe Ormiston were united in marriage. A son, Rollin, and a daughter, Helen, were born into this home. They farmed near Brooklyn until they retired some 18 years ago.

Mollie became a member of Grace United Methodist Church in May of 1920. She was active in the Philathea Class and in the Women's Society of Christian Service. She also was a member of the Columbian Federated Women's Club.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Roscoe, in 1960.

Surviving are her son, Rollin, of Walnut Creek, Calif.; her daughter, Helen E. DeRiso of Aurora, Colo.; five grandchildren: Blair Behrens and Michael Ormiston, and Neil, Mark and Dawn DeRiso; three brothers: Leonard Donegan of Dickson, Tenn., John Donegan of Bellevue, Ohio, and Otto Donegan of Toledo, Ohio; three sisters: Mrs. Pearl Baird of Erie, Mich., Mrs. Freda Read of Brooklyn, and Mrs. Bess Miller of Oskaloosa.
