ALICE FRASIER SERVICES SET

Alice M. Frasier, 86, died Monday evening at Friendship Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Philip Ramstad, pastor of the United Church of Christ-Congregational, officiating. Music will be provided by Norman Goodbrod.

Friends may call the Smith Funeral Home for additional information.

The daughter of John and Emma Thurwell Smith, she was born near McHenry, Ill. She attended schools near her family farm and later went to Lincoln, Neb., to work for a telephone company.

On Sept. 20, 1911, she was married to Chester A. Frasier at Lincoln. The couple had four daughters. In 1935, the family came to Grinnell, where Mr. Frasier served as president of Grinnell State Bank.

Mrs. Frasier was a member of the United Church of Christ-Congregational and the Women's Fellowship of the church. She had been a member of the Attawosis Club, Chapter B.M. of P.E.O. and Chapter 47 of the O.E.S.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. David L. (Louise) Ross of Grinnell, Mrs. John (Jeannette) Shotwell of Des Moines, and Mrs. Sidney (Ruth) Silcock of Mayville, Wis.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Helen Page of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and two brothers, Joe Smith of McHenry, Ill., and Edward Smith of Crystal Lake, Ill. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1955; a daughter, Ethel May, who died at the age of 9; a sister, Mrs. Mayme Boutelle; and a brother, Leo Smith.
