MRS. H.J. REIMERS

Mrs. Rosy Reimers, daughter of the late John Ohland and his wife Anna, nee Rheder, was born December 28, 1872, in Durant County, Iowa. (NOTE: there is no Iowa county by that name.)

At the age of ten years she moved with her family to Poweshiek County, Iowa, and lived there the remainder of her life, with the exception of two years spent in Texas with her husband.

On February 13, 1908, she was united in marriage with Mr. Harry Reimers. To this union were born two sons, Harley and Robert. Known throughout the area as a kind woman who would always help those in need, she and her husband had a wide circle of friends. About 31 years ago she and her husband moved to the farm where they had since been located. There death came to her.

November 13, 1941, was a big day in her life when she, with her husband and son, Harley and his wife were received into membership with Trinity Lutheran Church through baptism and confirmation. For about ten years she had been afflicted with hardening of the arteries and this disease progressively wore more and more upon her strength and health. Her condition became critical about two weeks ago and the Lord called her home on Friday afternoon, February 6, 1953. She attained the age of 79 years, 1 motnh and 9 days. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband Harry, two sons, Harley and Robert, 7 grandchildren, one sister, Miss Anna Ohland, and one brother, Claus Ohland, all of Malcom, besides many other relatives and a host of friends. She will await the return of her Lord from her last earthly resting place, Ivy Hill Cemetery, Malcom. May God comfort those who mourn her departure.

Pall bearers were: John Ohland, Grant Ohland, Dewey Goodrich, Walter Reimers, Reynolds Schilders, Harvey Baltisberger.

Music was furnished by Mrs. Willard Heffner and Miss Norma Ahrens. Songs were "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Abide With Me."
