DANIEL CREPS RITES TUESDAY

Daniel L. Creps, 15, the son of David and Evelyn Creps, drowned Friday afternoon at the Grinnell Municipal Swimming Pool.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Herrick Chapel on the Grinnell College campus, with the Rev. Daniel Ogata, pastor of the First United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Organist will be Kathleen Heffner. Pallbearers will be Ken Beck, Chris Christianson, Don Krumm, Scott Lloyd, Kevin Long, Shawn McKenna, David Morgan, Pat Rice, Raymond Rice and Jerry Schneider. Flower bearers will be Curt and Kay Heinselman and Achiel and Helen Wauters. Burial will be at Hazelwood Cemetery.

Should friends desire, memorials in Daniel's name may be made to the Grinnell High School Band Department and may be sent to the Smith Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home until 9 a.m. Tuesday and thereafter at Herrick Chapel.

Daniel Creps was born Nov. 27, 1964, in Grinnell and spent his early childhood in Brooklyn. He moved with his family to Grinnell in 1966. He attended Grinnell schools and was a member of the sophomore class at Grinnell High School at the time of his death. He participated in band and track. During summer breaks, he was employed at the Cargill Seed Corn Co., Edwards' Grocery and the Tiger's Den.

Survivors include his parents, David and Evelyn Creps of 328 East St.; a sister, Laura; a brother, Richard; and his maternal grandmother, Gladys Fifer of Newton. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather and his paternal grandparents.
