ELIZABETH ANDREWS

Elizabeth Andrews was born in Switzerland near Bern, Dec 17 , 1845. She came with her parents to America in 1854, and they settled in Poweshiek Co. Ia, near Brooklyn. She was married to J. L. BEARNES, March 16, 1878, and to this union was born one son, who preceded her to the better land. When about 17 years of age she was converted and joined the M.E. Church. Her life from that time was that of a true Christian. Her death occurred Feb 6, 1903, after an illness of two weeks duration. She was a noble wife and mother and a most excellent neighbor.

She was kind and considerate to all and all who knew her were her friends. During her illness she remembered her friends and neighbors in prayer and invited all who called to see her to meet her in the heavenly land. Although she suffered so long, her last hour was a peaceful triumphant one.

Funeral services were held from the M. E. Church, Saturday Feb 7, at 2 p.m., conducted by REV. HIGHTSHOE. The husband desires to thank neighbors and friends for the many acts of sympathy and kindness shown in the hour of his great bereavement.
