His sudden Death Comes As a Shock to Friends - Was Ill But a Shot Time With Pneumonia,

The death of JOSEPH CLARENCE ANDREWS came as a great shock to friends in this community last Friday. Many had not heard of his illness as he had been sick but little over a week with Pneumonia. The immediate family did not despair of his life until last Thursday, When he grew worse and all chances for his recovery proved hopeless. His death has brought the bitter cup of sorrow to his little family, relatives and friends.

Only a few years ago, October 5, 1904 he was married to MISS BERTHA WOODS, daughter of JAMES WOOD, of this place, whom he leaves, with two small children to mourn his loss. He was born in Poweshiek County, September 10, 1882. and has lived in this county all his life. He has been a member of the Methodist Church for a number of years. Besides his parents, wife and two small sons, he leaves a sister, ROSA MAY COOPER, in Canada, to mourn.

The funeral was held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by the REV. H. F. GILBERT. Interment took place in the city cemetery.
