She came with her parents to Iowa when a child two years old. They located first for a few months in Muscatine county, then they moved to Cedar county, where they spent a year, and moved from thence to Pleasent Township, Poweshiek Co., where she grew to womanhood.

On October 21, 1872, she united in marriage to JACOB ANDREWS. They lived on a farm in Pleasent township until fourteen years ago. There were born to them five children, four boys , and one girl. Three of the boys have preceded her in death, IRA, JOSEPH, and WILLIAM. On retiring from the farm, fourteen years ago Mr. and Mrs. Andrews moved to Montezuma where they have since lived.

Mrs. Andrews has for the last thirty years been in a semi- invalid condition. Almost
four years ago she had a stroke of paralysis, and since that time , in much worse condition than formerly. Last June she had another stroke, since which time she has been practically helpless. She died in the faith in the seventieth year of her life. As the sun was setting on Saturday evening, closing the week , she quietly slipped away to spend the hollowed Sabbath with her Savior.
