Gary Donald Mills, 64, of Lincoln, Neb., formerly of Grinnell, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, of heart failure.
A funeral service was held Saturday, Dec. 6, at Buthurus, Maser & Love Funeral Home in Lincoln, Neb., followed by a private family burial.
He was born May 12, 1944, in Keota, Iowa, the son of E. Donald and Helen Glee Mills. He was united in marriage with Mary Butler on March 25, 1967. They moved to Grinnell where he worked for ten years for General Telephone and Electronic as a computer programmer, later moving to Lincoln where he worked for Central Telephone as a computer programmer. He retired from Central Telephone in 1995, then worked as a contractor for the state of Nebraska.
He was a long-time member of the Masonic Lodge and a past master of the Keota lodge. He was an active member of the Lincoln Amateur Radio Club.
He is survived by his wife Mary and his son Edward. He was preceded in death by his parents.
