DR. R.T. MILLS
DIED SUNDAY

Funeral In Congregational
Church Wednes., 2 P.M.

Dr. R.T. Mills, former prominent Grinnell dentist and active citizen, died at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Research hospital in Kansas City, Mo., as a result of an acute heart condition which had compelled his retirement from active practice in November of 1949. In April of 1950 he and Mrs. Mills had sold their home here and moved to Mission, Kas., where they had made their home since with their son Eugene.

Funeral services in charge of Rev. Leland W. Mann will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Congregational church, of which Dr. Mills was a member. Masonic services will be conducted at the grave in Hazelwood cemetery. The list of active pall bearers has not been completed. Honorary pall bearers will be Dr. L.G. Lemley, Paul Meyers, Earl Mintle, D.J. Muckler, Loyd F. Morrison and Ed Speth. Roy Bates will be in charge of the flowers.

Dr. Mills is survived by his wife, Ruth, a daughter, Miriam, Mrs. Lloyd Cousins of Evanston, Ill., and two sons, Eugene of Mission, Kas., and Kenneth of the army stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.

A friendly man, Dr. Mills had served his home community well in many ways. He was a Past Master of Hermon Lodge, A.F. & A.M. in 1929, a Past Commander of Focht-Tennant Post of the American Legion, and had served efficiently on both the city council and the school board.
