FUNERAL SERVICES
FOR MRS. CRIDER
HELD WEDNESDAY

Lena May, daughter of John W. and Mary A. Height, was born at Deep River, Nov. 17, 1888, and passed away at the age of 70 years, 11 months and 15 days, Nov. 2, at St. Francis hospital, Grinnell. She had been hospitalized the last two months.

Her family moved to Brooklyn when she was quite young and she was educated in the Brooklyn public school. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church in Brooklyn and was quite active in church activities.

Lena May and Louis Crider were united in marriage June 25, 1913, and to this union seven children were born, one preceding her in death.

She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Arlene Purdum, Vada Tinkle and Phyllis Sanders, and three sons, Donald, Maynard and Keith; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Hall and Mrs. Lelah Severe, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, at the Steffy Funeral Home with Rev. E.W.F. Holler and Rev. R. Carrol Johnson in charge. Miss Alice Underwood played appropriate hymns on the piano.

Burial was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery at Brooklyn. Casket bearers were Clifford Hicks, Carl Pearson, Floyd Little, Charles Johnston, Gail Latcham and Lyle Berry.
