LINDA K. BELCHER

Linda K. Belcher, 32, of Willow Court, Grinnell, died Wednesday, July 3, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Green of the Assembly of God Church officiating. Organist was Brenda Green, and vocalist was Robyn Wingerter.

Pallbearers were Clifford Brant Jr., David Brant Sr., Roger Bailey Jr., Rod Burnham, Marvin Eaton and Carl F. Noftsger. Honorary bearers were Ron Belcher, Jim Kizer, Sam Kizer Jr. and Byron Roam.

Burial was in Hazelwood Cemetery. A memorial fund in her name has been established.

The daughter of Clyde and Irene Elliott Brant, she was born March 4, 1959, in Des Moines. She was raised in Newton and attended school there until moving with her family to Orangeburg, S.C., in 1970. She completed her education there and later returned to Iowa.

She was married to Stephen Paul Belcher May 6, 1980, in Grinnell. Mrs. Belcher was employed by the Mayflower Home, Hardee's, DeLong Sportswear and the Tama Meat Packing Company.

She is survived by her husband; her children, Crystal and Roger; her parents; two brothers, Clyde Brant Jr. of Columbia, S.C., and James Brant of Orangeburg; and three sisters, Donna Noftsger of Colfax and Diana Moore and Cheryl Brant, both of Orangeburg.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
