SERVICES HELD

Miss Bertina Iverson, 82, of Marshalltown died Saturday, Jan. 15, in a rest home in Marshalltown, following an illness of several years.

Miss Iverson was born near Stavanger, Norway, Feb. 4, 1889. She came to this country in 1906 and made her home for awhile with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. John Iverson, near Grinnell. Later she went to Chicago where she was employed for several years. For the past 20 years she had made her home with her sister, Mrs. Inga Bottnen, near Marshalltown.

Miss Iverson is survived by her sister, Mrs. Bottnen; two brothers, Chris of near Grinnell and Erling of Norway; two nieces, Mrs. Eldon Johnson and Mrs. John Bennett; two nephews, Lawrence and Arthur Iverson; two cousins, Elmer Iverson and Mrs. Cordia Wilkinson; and other relatives in this country and Norway.

Funeral services for Miss Iverson were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, at the Estel-Perrin Funeral Home in Marshalltown, with the Rev. Walter Rasmussen officiating. Burial was in Hazelwood Cemetery, Grinnell.

Pallbearers included Lawrence and Arthur Iveson, Eldon Johnson, John and Daryl Bennett and Elmer Burnson.

Miss Iverson was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Marie Iverson, in Norway.
