RITES ARE HELD FOR
MRS. FLORENCE FOSTER,
79, NATIVE IOWAN

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Mrs. Florence Eva Foster, 1130 Spring street, who died Saturday at a rest home. She was 79 years old.

Dr. John DeLong, pastor of the Methodist church, officiated at the final rites at Smith Funeral Home.

Daughter of George Henry and Ellen Mighill Tidd Knox, Mrs. Foster was born at Victor, Iowa on December 17, 1874. She was married forty years ago to Ben Foster at Newton, Iowa. He died 11 years ago.

Mrs. Foster came to Grinnell ten years ago from Davenport. She was a member of the Methodist church.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Leta Snodgrass of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Bertha Coon and Mrs. Ina Porter of Grinnell; and a brother, Freeman Knox of Grinnell.

Mrs. Kathleen Heffner was organist at the last rites, and pallbearers were Glen Anderson, Earl Kennedy, Emory Farley, Harry Porter, Jack Pasch and Richard Wichman.

Burial was at Victor, Iowa.
