REV. ALLEN EDDY
DIES WEDNESDAY;
SATURDAY RITES

Rev. Allen L. Eddy, retired Congregational minister, died here Wednesday afternoon.

Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the chapel at Mayflower Home, where Mr. and Mrs. Eddy resided in recent years. James-Schalinske Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

Rev. Eddy served Congregational churches in four Iowa communities during his nearly 50 years of ministry, as follows: Red Oak from 1918 to 1921; Webster City from 1921 to 1926; Maquoketa from 1944 to 1949; and Danville from 1949 to 1956. He also served churches in South Dakota, Ohio, Illinois and Wisconsin.

He was a graduate of Oberlin College and Oberlin Graduate School of Theology.

In 1911 he married Ethel M. Cook of Villisca. In addition to Mrs. Eddy, survivors include two daughters, Frances, formerly of Grinnell, and Mrs. Wallace Gooch of Burlington; a brother, Myron of Rockton, Ill.; and two grandsons, Frederick and Theodore Gooch of Burlington.

The family has requested no flowers.
