FRANCES M. EDDY

Francs M. Eddy, 90, of Grinnell died Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at Mayflower Health Care Center.

A service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Mayflower Homes, the United Church of Christ-Congregational or to Oberlin College. Arrangements are in charge of Smith Funeral Home.

She was born May 13, 1915 in Burton, Ohio, to Allen and Ethel Cook Eddy. She graduated from Decatur High School, Decatur, Ill., and received the bachelor of arts degree from Oberlin College, Oberlin, Ohio. She also studied at the Chicago Theological Seminary. She had served the United Church of Christ in several capacities including as a missionary of the church in Turkey.

She is survived by one sister, Mary Gooch of Tucson, Ariz., and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.
