Funeral services were held in Phoenix, Ariz., at 11:30 a.m., Monday, for Gerald Hauersperger, 71, of Cottonwood, Ariz., who died January 27, 1989. Burial was in the Arizona Veterans Cemetery, Phoenix. A. & L. Moore & Son Mortuary, Phoenix, was in charge of arrangements.
He was born February 2, 1918, in Brooklyn. He attended the Brooklyn school and was employed by the local Chevrolet Garage. He moved to Phoenix in 1960.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie of Cottonwood; three sons, George Hauersperger of Brooklyn, and Greg and Fred Hauersperger of Phoenix; two sisters, Eva LaKose and Ella Mae Olson of West Liberty, Iowa.
He was preceded by his parents, two brothers, Leonard and Lester, and a sister, Dorothy.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Brooklyn. Rev. Karl Holtkamp will officiate.
