HOWARD FRANK
IS DEAD AT 69

Howard Frank, 69, a prominent Oskaloosa businessman, died Nov. 25 at Mahaska Hospital after a brief illness.

Mr. Frank came to Iowa in December of 1945 as manager of the Home Oil Co. in Oskaloosa. He later purchased an interest in the company and became its president. He was active in numerous civic affairs.

Mr. Frank is survived by his wife, Eleanor; a sister, Mrs. Maurine Dillon of Oskaloosa; and three step-sons, Bryan Battey of Saigon, South Vietnam, Fraser Battey of Washington, D.C., and Lawrence "Bo" Battey of Grinnell.

Should friends desire, a memorial in Mr. Frank's name has been established at the Oskaloosa Public Library.
