DON W. SEE, 53,
DIES IN EAST;
SERVICES HERE

Don W. See, 53, Niagara Falls, New York, former Grinnell resident, died early this morning (Monday) following a brief illness of the past two weeks.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. C.E. Kingsley, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. Burial will be in Hazelwood cemetery.

The son of Conaway and Matilda Parmley See, he was born in Grinnell on April 19th, 1907, and attended Grinnell schools. He graduated from St. Joseph high school in St. Joseph, Missouri. While in high school he participated in athletic programs and was a member of the football team.

Later, he attended the University of Iowa for one year.

In 1945, he was united in marriage with Ethel Burnett in Eldorado, Arkansas, and one son survives, Robert R., 11, at the family home in Niagara Falls.

Mr. See was an electrician and had been employed on the St. Lawrence seaway project near Massena, New York, for 3-1/2 years. The family moved to Niagara Falls about one year ago.

He was a member of the LaSalle Baptist church in Niagara Falls.

Survivors include his wife and son; two sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Mildred) Bergman of St. Louis, Missouri, and Mrs. E.W. (Gladys) Kaltenbach of Rockford, Illinois; two brothers, Raymond of Grinnell and Jack of Des Moines.
