SERVICES HELD

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday for David William Tokheim, 71, of 415 Second Ave., who died of natural causes at his home. Authorities set the date of death as Friday, Aug. 3.

The Rev. Marcus E. Reitz, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, officiated at the services. Organist was Margaret Amo, and pallbearers included Wes Ahrens, Jim graham, Jack McGinnis, Bud Oltrogge, Ivan Sheets and Kenneth L. Shook. Burial was at Hazelwood Cemetery.

The son of Sampson and Trena Onnerem Tokheim, he was born Dec. 23, 1907, at Badger. He attended schools there and in Ft. Dodge.

Mr. Tokheim came to Grinnell from Newton. He was employed as a painter and carpenter. He was a member of the Lutheran faith.

Surviving is a brother, Theodore J. Tokheim of West Friendship Haven, Ft. Dodge. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, May, Louise and Julia; and a brother, Edward.
