HARRY HUSTON RITES ARE HELD

Harry L. Huston, 79, of Ogallala, Neb., a native of Searsboro, died Friday, March 13 at his home.

Funeral services were conducted on March 16 at the United Methodist Church in Ogallala, with burial in the Ogallala Cemetery.

He was the son of Ora and Anna Benson Huston and was born on July 12, 1908, in Searsboro. He attended Searsboro High School, graduating in 1925.

Mr. Huston subsequently graduated from telegraphy school in Missouri and joined the Union Pacific Railroad in 1926. He was also a depot agent for Union Pacific, retiring in 1975.

Mr. Huston was married to Lucy Lafferty on Aug. 15, 1931, in Ogallala. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Ogallala Elks Lodge, the UP Oldtimers Club No. 8, R.S.V.P., and the advisory board of the Ogallala Senior Center. He had also served on the Ogallala Planning Commission.

Surviving are his wife, Lucy; a son, Donald of Omaha, Neb.; one brother, Carl of Omaha; and three grandsons.
