MILDRED M. WILSON

Mildred M. Wilson, 84, of 827 Prince St., Grinnell, died Sunday, May 29, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Graveside services were conducted Thursday at Hazelwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Lon Lewis, pastor of the Grinnell United Methodist Church, officiating.

The daughter of Orvil and Lucinda (Lou) Oyler Sarsfield, she was born March 27, 1910, in Nevada, Iowa. She attended public school in Nevada and later graduated from Kennedy School of Beauty in Des Moines. She had lived in Grinnell since 1935 and operated Mildred's Beauty Shop in Grinnell.

Surviving are three sons, Robert C. Holmes of Des Moines, John O. Holmes of Anaheim, Calif., and Michael S. Holmes of Norwalk, Calif.; four grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one brother, Orvil Sarsfield of Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; two grandsons; and one brother, Arthur Sarsfield.

Memorials may be made to the Landscaping Fund of Hazelwood Cemetery and sent in care of the Smith Funeral Home.
