CHERYL MYERS SERVICES SET

Cheryl Myers, 80, of 309 East St., Grinnell died Wednesday morning, Oct. 2, at Grinnell General Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robert C. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery, with the Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The daughter of Mark and Jessie Evans Holmes, she was born June 23, 1905, in Grinnell. She attended Grinnell schools, graduating from high school here in 1922. She taught in rural schools and later was employed at the Morrison-Shults Glove Factory and at a glove factory in Fairfield. From 1953 to 1961 she was secretary of the Grinnell First Baptist Church.

She was married to Ray G. Myers on Sept. 11, 1942, in Rock Island, Ill.

Survivors include her husband and one sister, Myrtle Osborn of Rte. 1, Malcom. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Dawson Holmes, and one sister, Claribel Lamb.
