CLARIBEL LAMB RITES TODAY

Claribel E. Lamb, 77, of 1309 Prairie St., Grinnell, died following a stroke Saturday morning at Grinnell General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. today at the Grinnell First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robert C. Smith, pastor of the church, officiating. Organist will be Kathleen Heffner, and vocalists will be Patty Evans and Mary Sherman. Pallbearers will be Frank Brown, Donovan Evans, Jerry Grosenbach, Dale Lamb, Lynn Lamb, Roger Lamb, Roger Osborn, Ron Osborn and Jim Saunders.

Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery, with the Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Memorials in Mrs. Lamb's name may be made to the Grinnell First Baptist Church.

The daughter of Mark and Jessie Evans Holmes, she was born on May 4, 1907, in Grinnell. She was a 1927 graduate of Grinnell High School.

She was employed at DeLong's Sportswear for 43 years and was a member of the Grinnell First Baptist Church. She was married to Faye W. Lamb on Dec. 27, 1952.

Survivors include her husband and two sisters, Cheryl Myers of Grinnell and Myrtle Osborn of rural Malcom. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Dawson Holmes.
